5. Even Dyslexia Couldn’t Stop The Fonz

Most people don’t know this, but Henry Winkler suffers from dyslexia and that made it very difficult for him to read the six lines set aside for him during his audition. So he decided to “wing it,” for lack of better words, and came up with is own dialogue. He told the producers that he was giving them a real-life feel on what he thought the character would be. It was a major gamble, but one that paid off big-time.
