Starting in the 1940’s there was a major affliction spreading throughout the world, the need for speed. All of theses speed freaks usually congregated at one location west of Salt Lake City Utah known as The Bonneville Salt Flats. The remnants of massive salt water lake that used to cover most of the state has left a dead flat surface made completely out of salt that goes on for miles. Making it the perfect location to attempt and beat land speed records.
