16. Ventriloquist
One job Knotts did have was working as a ventriloquist. Before he made it onto The Andy Griffith Show, he took work operating a doll named Danny. The pair went on stage as Don and Danny, but Knotts found he could play better off real people like Tim Conway. Those two starred in some early films together. Of course, his best pairing was with Andy Griffith.
