Trying to keep track of the naming system Alfa Romeo uses for its cars can be extremely difficult, possibly even more so than modern day Mercedes Benz and BMW. The name Alfa Romeo 6C was used on race cars, sports cars, and even the road cars from 1927-1954. The 6C 2500 series was produced from 1938-1952 and would be the last road car to bear the 6C name. The Villa d’Este was also the last of the completely hand built Alfa to be produced.
