14. Some Say Reeves’ Old Flame Killed Him

The wife of MGM’s vice-president, Eddie Mannix, was Toni Mannix. For a time, Reeves and Toni engaged in extramarital activity, but he ended it to be with Lemmon. Eddie Mannix was, by some accusations, connected with the mafia. Both had motive enough to murder Reeves. When Reeves left Toni, she harassed him to the point of Reeves requesting a restraining order. Making matters worse, a publicist by the name of Edward Lozzi, claims that Toni Mannix confessed to killing Reeves. She later died from Alzheimer’s. In fact, they’re all dead now so good luck sorting it out.
