15. Reeves Died at Age 45
Some aging fans know that Reeves died under curious circumstances. Some insisted his death was murder, but the official ruling was a suicide. When, on June 16, 1959, Reeves suffered a gunshot wound to the head, the show was not over, not necessarily. His story, however, came to an end at about 2 am, in the bedroom of Benedict Canyon Home. The studio might have filmed more seasons, but without the star of the show, that all came to an end. Accusations made at the time were that Reeves’ fiancé, Leonor Lemmon, conspired to kill or killed him. She insisted that Reeves committed suicide over his failed career.
