Say you went on a hot streak and won you pricing game, hit $1.00 on the wheel, and then went on to win the final showcase showdown. You’re potentially talking about a significant amount of money. One man in particular told an ABC reporter that he won $57,000 worth of cash prizes. But in order to receive all that loot, he was expected to pay nearly $20,000 in taxes! According to executive producer Mike Richards, the show will send out a letter to the winners informing them of the tax bill owed before they collect and that everyone has collected since 2008.
