5. There’s a New Captain of the Ship

Bob Barker may not have had the squeaky clean image he portrayed on the show, but regardless he left some big shoes to fill when he did leave. It was going to take one hell of a replacement to fill that void and producers felt that comedian Drew Carey was the man to do it. Carey made his announcement public while appearing on Late Night With David Letterman. Drew came on the show and told Dave, “It was like 15 minutes ago, they called me, it’s a done deal– I’m the new host of The Price Is Right.”
