Lois Lane has been played by numerous actresses over the years, both in animated roles as well as real-life ones. When it came time to cast the actress to play the character in All-Star Superman, it was Christina Hendricks that was tapped for the role. It was the first time Hendricks had done any voice-over work and like most others, she immediately took a liking to it. She told the LA Times that she “jumped on board” as soon as they asked her to do it, especially because it was playing the very well known character of Lois Lane.
