The former Speaker of the House of the Federal National Council, also known as the United Arab Emirates Parliament, is Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair. The amount of success he’s been able to achieve over the years is staggering, with a new worth estimated to be $7.5 billion. His father started the Mashreq Bank during the first wave of economic growth in the UAE in the 1960’s. Since then, Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair has expanded the company into a conglomerate consisting of construction, publishing, and even petrochemical holdings and shows no signs of slowing.
