1. Osmond Kept the Traditions
The network had something to do with it, but with Osmond at the helm, they kept the best parts of the old show. The new show sought to teach kids skills they could use in real life, exactly like the original. They aired it on a local network, PIX11 first, expanding to 13 markets in 2017. It was a variety show, filmed in front of a live studio audience of kids. Osmond engaged the kids in the show. For the aging fans of the old show, it was a heartwarming return to something awesome.
