1. 1962 Ferrari GTO Cont’d
Finally we have reached the most expensive car in the world, the 1962 Ferrari GTO that sold for over $38 million dollars back in August of 2014 at the Bonhams Auction in Carmel California. Spending that kind of money on a car might seem absolutely ridiculous, but there is no denying this 250 GTO is absolutely gorgeous. It was originally designed for legendary driver Stirling Moss and was limited to less than 39 total examples, but in order to get one you had to be personally approved by Enzo Ferrari himself, and his North American Dealer Luigi Chinetti. The 250 GTO would be considered the “Greatest Ferrari of All Time” by Motor Trend Classic and the “Hottest car of all time” by Popular Mechanics. Apparently there have been two sold for over $38 million.
