As said as it might be the only other American car that makes the list besides the $5 million Shelby Cobra, is the brand new Ford GT, which interestingly is tied back to Carroll Shelby as well. That man was a genius! The GT is the most expensive car Ford has ever sold with a price tag over $400,000. Even with that cost people were lining up to own one, so Ford literally made people apply and show Ford why they deserve to buy one of their super cars. If you can believe it there isn’t even a V8 as the mid mounted engine. Sitting behind the passengers is a 3.5L ecoboost V6 that is reported to make over 600 hp.
