5. All’s Well That Ends Well

Like any good show, it always comes together in the end if all the foundational aspects were strong in the beginning. The crew and cast grew to respect Cosmatos. “You know the scene where we’re walking down to the O.K. Corral, and there’s a building on fire?” Elliot asked during an interview with American Cowboy. “That was George. We were all looking at it thinking, ‘Who in the hell lit the fire?’ At the time it didn’t make any sense. And then you see it on film, and it’s evident that the Cowboys [the outlaw gang] lit the fire, as kind of a diversion or whatever it was. Cinematically it was a brilliant decision.”
