That Time a French Photographer Stumbled Into Hitler’s Bunker

Industrial Entrance

Askat traced the rails to a large entrance, clearly for moving in large items, industrial equipment or otherwise. Since the end of the war, that entrance has become a place for water to drain out of the space. Still, one can imagine Nazis shouting at each other as they once guided machinery into place, imagining their glorious triumph… which NEVER happened because they lost.

Final Thoughts

As Askat left the massive bunker, with hours of exploration behind him, he felt a sense of relief. It was as though he’d escaped a dark place, like a jail. Then it hit him. Hitler’s paranoia not only imprisoned him, but also the elite members of the S.S. The bunker was as much a jail as a safe place.
