As Askat left the massive bunker, with hours of exploration behind him, he felt a sense of relief. It was as though he’d escaped a dark place, like a jail. Then it hit him. Hitler’s paranoia not only imprisoned him, but also the elite members of the S.S. The bunker was as much a jail as a safe place.
