18. Marion Ross: Then

One of the most underrated characters on Happy Days was Richie and Joanie’s mother, Mrs. C, played by Marion Ross. She was sweet and kind, and always had her kids best interest in mind. But she wasn’t afraid to push the envelope in regards to the stereotypes of that era, such as the time she hung up her apron as a housewife so she could go work as a waitress. Nowadays that’s nothing, but at the time that was sadly a big deal.
17. Marion Ross: Now

Marion Ross continued to work in Hollywood long after Happy Days came to an end. In fact, she can still be seen making the occasional guest appearance on television shows. But it was her role on the hit show Brooklyn Bridge that awarded her with two Emmy nominations, which was one of the highlights of her career. However, her role on Happy Days is what most will remember.
