Rat Pack Legend Comes Out to the Ranch

There was a long list of guest appearances on The Rifleman. One of the most memorable was when “Mr. Show Business” himself, Mr. Sammy Davis Jr. appeared late in the fourth season of the show. He played the character Tip Corey, who was a good-for-nothing sharpshooter that was meant to cause grief in the Lucas household. Sammy may not seem like he would be the gun-toting cowboy type of guy, but he shocked viewers when he seemed very comfortable holding a gun. He was so good in fact that he could even do all the fancy spinning action that added the perfect level of dramatic effect.
