2. O.J.’s Rough Life and Eventual Imprisonment
The years after the trial saw Simpsons’ life spiral out of control. He turned to signing autographs, auctioning memorabilia, making awful rap videos, and briefly starring in a prank show just to make money off his fame. He also had a book published titled “If I Did It.”
When that failed, Simpson turned to crime. Simpson was suspected to be involved in drug running and money laundering operations. He was also involved in several lesser crimes.
On December 5, 2008, Simpson was sentenced to 33 years in prison for his part in an armed robbery that took place in Las Vegas. Some argued the sentence was really a punishment for O.J.’s prior crimes.
O.J. was released on October 1, 2017. He is currently a free man.
