So far as reasonable doubt goes, the Simpson lawyers could hardly ask for more help than the details of Detective Mark Fuhrman’s personal life.

Fuhrman was the detective responsible for collecting much of the vital DNA evidence associated with the Simpson case. When audio tapes of Fuhrman saying racist words and sentiments emerged, the Simpson defense team used them as evidence of Fuhrman’s racism. That forced Fuhrman to plead the fifth in regards to questions like whether or not he ever planted evidence in his career.
