11. N.T. Wright
Ordained in 1975, some know him as Tom, but his published name is N.T. Wright. What he writes about is theology and its relationship to Christian life. Wright served as a bishop from 2003 to 2010. Since then, he’s been a Research Professor of the New Testament and Early Christianity at St. Mary’s College in Scotland. Wright’s reported fortune is in the neighborhood of $2.5 million, not bad for an author and humble preacher.
10. Jack Van Impe
Impe started in 1952 after graduating the Detroit Bible Institute. He clawed his way to a ministry valued at $2.5 million, and an income of around $150,000 per year. When he left school, Impe had one claim to fame – he could quote scripture like nobody else. Billy Graham took a liking to Impe, giving him a start as an evangelist on the Billy Graham Crusades. Impe married his wife, Rexella Mae Shelton in 1954, and together they blew up in the evangelical circuit. By 1960 they had their own ministry, the Jack Van Impe Ministries, which aired on TBN until 2011.
