The 32 Strongest Militaries In The World

Japan

China is doing wonders for military contractors in Asia. As they expand their military and build islands in the sea, other nations respond by spending more on defense. Japan is no exception. For the first time in 40 years, they’ve recently expanded their military with new bases and more troops. Those troops are 247,000 active with 57,900 in the reserves. Japan’s budget is the 6th highest in the world at $49.1-billion. They have to spend that much to maintain their 1,500 plus aircraft, the fifth largest air force in the world. To cart those aircraft around, they maintain 131 ships, all in the name of defense.
