3. Being a Marine for Life

For the country girl from Minnesota, she gained so much more from the Marines than a means to go back to school. She learned to see her place in the world differently. It’s a lesson she will never forget, no matter how many photo sessions she poses for or how many rings she struts through. “You gain a new family when you become a Marine,” she said according to the Daily Mail. “You live together, eat together, workout together, hang out in your spare time together, fight with each other, and yet you’ll still do anything for each other, whether you like each other or not.”
