No surprise, the food spoiled.
It didn’t take long for the food to spoil exposed to the elements and hot lights. It wouldn’t have been such a big deal, but the rotting food started to smell. To remedy this in subsequent films, they switched out food molds for many of the dishes. Smelly food problems solved, but why didn’t these experienced filmmakers do that the first time? Who knows?
