To be fair, we don’t know if any of them actually pigged out, but they could have. The food was real, as an unusual choice. Filming means long days under hot lights, sometimes over days or weeks. Food tends not to last. The crew of Potter cut no corners, accurately portraying the foods from the book in the Great Hall scenes.
