While one could say that Sally received better treatment than her peers, it would be foolish to say she lived a good life. She was a slave. There were no luxuries. Her room would have enjoyed no sunlight. Most of the time it would be a musty dark place. Once Jefferson was gone, and Sally was free, someone made the decision to convert the room into a bathroom for tourists.
