Toxic debris fills financial district
“Like a war zone” was the only way to describe the financial district of Manhattan, a part of the city which is normally well-manicured. From the debris cloud, many suffered illness and even death. In 2002, Felicia Dunn-Jones died from long term effects of the attacks. On May 24, 2007, chief medical examiner Dr. Charles S. Hirsch determined her death was from dust inhalation six years prior. They added her death to the total fallout of 9/11.
