The Pentagon attack
With the attention of the country focused on New York, the panic of the nation rose to a new level as a third plane struck the Pentagon. That was 51 minutes after the first plane hit the North Tower. The flight was American Airlines 77, en route from Virginia to Los Angeles. Across the nation, people emptied tall buildings and government building in fear of more attacks.
