An adage born in the trenches of vaudeville insists that despite challenges, “the show must go on.” The idea permeates all threads of human life. It is no more poignant than when applied to the life of Lamb Chop. When Shari Lewis exhaled her last breath, her daughter Mallory made a decision to keep the light of Lamb Chop alive. At the time, Mallory had been pursuing a degree in finance, but there was no-one more apt to take over with Lamb Chop than her. Lamb Chop would have a different voice than she used to have, but she would live on. “It made me very feel happy because it was like a part of my mom was still alive,” Mallory said in an interview with AZCentral. “It did bring up a lot of emotions, but not in a bad way”
