Crazily enough, Felicity was one of the first shows ever to have to deal with the controversy around music copyright. Early on, copyright laws weren’t so stringent, but right around when the show was being made they were getting more strict.

The producers often ran into issues in getting rights to the music. If you compare a taped version of the aired show to one of the released DVDs, almost all of the original music has been replaced with different tracks!
