4. Bill Koch: Ghost Town
The businessman may be worth only an estimated $2-4 billion, but that didn’t stop him from purchasing his own playground. Mr. Koch had the entire town, around 50-70 buildings, transported to his Colorado ranch where he and his family can enjoy the scenery. He paid $3.1 million for the Buckskin Joe Western town, plus whatever hefty price tag came with moving it.
3. Sultan of Brunei: Rolls Royce
The Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah, is known for getting a $20,000 haircut. He’s also known for purchasing one of the most expensive cars in the world— a $14 million Rolls Royce. The car is so well-known, it’s called the “Star of India.”
