16. Judy Tyler Died in a Violent Car Accident

The Princess who couldn’t keep her clothes on after she had a few drinks died in a car accident, driving from Los Angeles to New York. It wasn’t from drunk driving, either. Traveling on U.S. Route 287, a car in front of them lost control. It was towing a trailer, which struck their vehicle so violently it cut Tyler’s body in half. Her husband also died from injuries suffered in the crash.

 15. Smith Once Gave America a Scare

Although Buffalo Bob Smith was the real deal, a good guy on screen and off, he did once cause a panic. On “The Bob Smith Show,” he announced that a spaceship had landed in Virginia in 1949. Keep in mind, this was around the same time as the Roswell incident. Smith read the gag like a real news report, describing Lilliputian-like men dressed in 15th-century garb. People in Virginia lost their everloving minds. Afterwards, with a good scolding from NBC, Bob apologized to his fans and promised never to do such a thing again.
