Carrie Ingalls’ fall during the intro was real
The little girl who played young Laura Ingalls runs down a hill in the intro and takes a spill. It was a real fall, one the director thought looked cute. In fairness, if one is gonna take a spill on camera, it had better make the show, as in, “I’m killing myself out here for you people!”
