In some places, they call them scripts. Those are the company-branded messages one must use when engaging customers. At Disney, they call them lines. A new cast member has three days to memorize her lines, exactly as scripted. Fail once, and they execute the cast member in the middle of the park. Not really, but they take it seriously. If one can’t learn a few lines, it’s not the right job.
