It’s unlikely that any harm would come to a passenger on a cruise ship, not in the way one fears. Ships today are tough to sink. Rogue waves are almost fairy tales. Today’s ships have protocols in place for every imaginable scenario. That said, one man still found a way to fall from the deck of a Royal Caribbean cruise ship in 2015. He spent five hours in the water as no-one on his ship saw him. Passengers on another ship spotted him, alive, and saved his life with preservers and a rescue ship.
