Cynthia Rhodes was the actress who played Johnny’s original dance partner and she was quite obviously a very beautiful woman. In fact, she had so much natural beauty that when it came to the scene where she was in complete agony makeup artists had to get creative in order to “dull her down” and make her agony look believable. This wasn’t something that the makeup crew was used to doing seeing as how they normally were tasked with making people more attractive.
