During the filming of the movie, Jennifer Grey was 26 going on 27 years of age. Which is shocking considering she was playing the role of Baby Houseman, who was supposed to be just 17 years old. Grey somehow convinced the producers during her audition that she could pull off the role of a person that was ten years her junior. This is especially impressive seeing as how she only had 5 minutes to audition according to reports. If that’s not impressive enough, Kelly Bishop, the actress who played Baby’s mother, was just 16 years older than Grey too.
