8. Chauvinistic Editor

According to reports, the main editor of the film felt umbrage regarding the movie. He apparently didn’t like the salacious dancing, nor did he like the underlying message of empowering women that the movie portrayed. He even said to Eleanor Bergstein, “How can you have respect for a girl who dances that way?” This came as quite a shock to Bergstein since she created the film based on her own life experiences. She obviously got the last laugh though seeing as how the movie went on to be a smash hit.
