5. The Sitcom Universe

It’s all fictional in the world of sitcoms, and in some cases, different sitcoms can be within the same universe. Sort of like the Marvel and DC comic book universes. One example of that was the trio of shows created by Don Fedderson. To Rome with Love, A Family Affair, and My Three Sons were said to be apart of the same “world.” Buffy and Jody actually made appearances on To Rome with Love and just two episodes later a few characters from My Three Sons did the same.
