17. T-50 v F-22: Range
To get all that maneuverability, the T-50 leverages the thrust vector nozzles in the twin engines. That means they blow through fuel faster. It also means they run noisy, compared to the Raptor’s more developed stealth design. A pilot in an F-22 could detect the noisy T-50 from miles away. By the time the T-50 made it to where the F-22 had been, the Raptor would be gone. That’s assuming the F-22 pilot didn’t unleash one of the six long-range missiles the moment the T-50 gave away its position.
