Covered by the BBC, last year a Russian news outlet surreptitiously leaked images of a stealth robotic sub capable of delivering a massive explosion off the coast of the United States. The explosion, a 100 megaton nuke would be enough to create a life-ending tsunami. If it hit the east coast, it could take out Manhattan and Boston. Russia denied the technology but said it should not have aired, leading some to believe it was a bluff. If it’s real, the small, nuke-powered sub could avoid detection, allowing it to get very close before detonating.
