21. Sub Aspirations
The new subs are not only more efficient, but they carry a bigger payload than previously expected. At first, the Russian engineers slated the Boreis for 12 missiles, but they can carry a full four more missiles than that. The Russians are so pleased with their new class of subs, by 2020 they intend to have five more of them in the water. Of course, that all depends on the development of their fifth generation of subs, which are right around the iceberg.
