It’s extremely difficult to imagine that a Hollywood legend such as the great Greta Garbo never tied the knot even though she lived to the distinguished age of 84 years young. Ms. Garbo led a very private life, especially after she retired from working as an actress in 1941 at the young age of 35. Apparently she came close one time, really close actually. In 1927 she was engaged to her longtime love, Jack Gilbert, and the two had a date planned and everything. However, when it came down to the day, Garbo left Gilbert waiting at the altar.
15. Diane Keaton

Yet another Hollywood legend, Diane Keaton, who has yet to get married throughout her long and decorated life. Ms. Keaton openly admits that her former Godfather co-star Al Pacino is the “one that got away.” But she has no problem with never making it official with someone. She went as far as to say, “I don’t think that because I’m not married it’s made my life any less. That old maid myth is garbage.” According to reports, she’s not hesitant to “play” either. Just look at her known relationships with the likes of Keanu Reeves, Jack Nicholson, and Warren Beatty just to name a few. Ms. Keaton is quite content with her life as a mother after adopting two children, and at least as of currently has no plans on making any major changes.
