A great majority of Escobar’s success was the people of Columbia loved him and therefore would never think of turning on him and “dropping a dime” to law enforcement. The way Pablo earned that loyalty was he was quite charitable with the poor. As a matter of fact, he was so generous and supported the people towards the poverty line that he quickly earned the nickname “Robin Hood.”
