For 11 years after his divorce, Knotts remained unmarried. In 1974, he married Loralee Czuchna, but the pair wouldn’t last. Knotts developed a preoccupation with his health and suffered depression. It was too much for Czuchna to handle. The strain on their marriage led to their eventual divorce in 1989.
