When the first movie of the prequels neared its release, word got out that a trailer would air at the beginning of Brad Pitt’s new movie, Meet Joe Black. Fans lined up to see the new trailer, because how else would they see it? Back then, YouTube was not even a few scraps of code. Standard internet speeds were too slow for streaming so there were no trailer outlets online. If one didn’t show up to the theater, the only way to see a trailer was to wait for it to hit broadcast TV. You know, with all the not-cool kids. As such, Meet Joe Black gained a huge surge in sales, despite being a mediocre film.
