7. Lucas Imagined One Film
More than the first installment of Star Wars, George Lucas initially created a story that covered the whole tale in one long movie. It would have been huge. The original screenplay was 200 pages, double the standard at the time. As the story unfolded, he realized he had more than one movie. With a little cutting, pasting, and rewriting, he created three films from the first. By the time he started production, Lucas knew he had more than three stories. There were prequels and sequels to follow as well.
