7. Upsetting the Jewish Community in LA
There are three subjects one should avoid in Hollywood; sex, the GOP, and Scientology. As a close fourth, pissing off the Jewish community is not a good idea either. The show, being a predominantly Christian theme, bordered on starting a religious war when they married Matt Camden to the daughter of a Jewish rabbi. The Jewish community originally offered to allow the crews to film in a local synagogue in Los Angeles but withdrew when they found out how the show portrayed the rabbi. They didn’t prefer that the show’s rabbi was hostile towards his daughter marrying a Christian.
