The Cast of That ’70s Show: Then & Now

New: Lisa Robin Kelly – a.k.a. Laurie Foreman

Unfortunately, Kelly’s story has a tragic ending. After failing to meet the requirements of the ultimatum given to her during the filming of That ’70s show, she was eventually replaced during the sixth season. She continued to battle her demons long after and eventually they caught up to her. Kelly had run-ins with the law that landed her in rehab. But things took a terrible turn for the worse when she died in her sleep in 2013. Autopsy reports indicated it was an accidental “multiple drug intoxication.”

Then: Kurtwood Smith – a.k.a. Reginald “Red” Foreman

Arguably one of everyone’s favorite characters was “Red” Foreman, the hard-ass, no-nonsense father of Eric and Laurie. He didn’t hesitate to speak his mind, no matter how controversial it might’ve been. Whether it was referring to Fez as a “foreigner” or his son as “dumbass,” or some other colorful and loving term, Red won over audiences left and right. The character of Red was played by Kurtwood Smith, who did a fantastic job. Kurtwood had a long and decorated career prior to the show and continued to do so long after.
