The Cast of That ’70s Show: Then & Now

Now: Danny Masterson – a.k.a. Steven Hyde

Masterson was one of the few main characters that had already made a name for himself in Hollywood prior to his role as Hyde. He had roles in both film and television as early as 1988, a full ten years prior to the shooting of That ’70s Show, which might have something do with his decision to retire once the show officially ended. He must’ve missed the spotlight because a few short years later he made his triumphant return to the silver screen. Currently, you can see him alongside his former co-star Ashton Kutcher in the Netflix original The Ranch.

Then: Wilmer Valderrama – a.k.a. Fez

Something you may not have known about the character Fez is that his name actually has a meaning behind it. While it may be spelled F-E-Z, it stands for Foreign-Exchange-Student because that’s exactly what he was. However, one of the long standing and underlying jokes of the series was the nobody really knew what country he came from. You also never learn his real name either. Apparently the other characters in the show knew it, but as an audience member or viewer, the only thing we were told is that it was really long and the first 5 K’s were silent. Hmmm…
